Detaining citizens in psych wards without due process

Quote:Governments Indefinitely Detaining Citizens In Psychiatric Wards Without Due Process of Law
As such, detention in psych wards on mere “suspicion” of posing a danger – without due process of law – is troubling.
For example, former marine Brandon Raub was just carted off and locked in a psychiatric ward for his allegedly “anti-government” Facebook posts.
There's some frightening shit in this article

It's very difficult to determine precisely where one should stand between prevention and punishment. Good find on the article btw. Godwined at the very start and then, for effect, the Stalin Gambit immediately thereafter. Bravo.

Yeah, I wrote 'bite me,' because I thought you were taking a shot at me for finding an article that Godwinned so quickly.

The british says it more plainly "Detained at the pleasure of her majesty".
After you've serve you sentence, the british judiciary appearently have the option of keeping you locked up for as long as it tickles their fancy just because they, in the name of the queen, felt like it.
