I have a friend who is intersexed who does escorting and he tells me that he has a lot of clients who are also right wing, conservative religious types. I've been thinking a lot about that myself. As much as I want to be able to say that there are nice, normal, reasonable people who happen to be Republican, it's getting harder and harder to say. The party is starting to lose touch with reality. 12 years ago, when Bush was initially elected, I disagreed with the party but I could respect them as a reasonable alternative to the Democrats. Then 9/11 happened and they took a hard right and ever since then, they've gone beyond 'far right' into 'crazy right' territory. I can't believe I miss Newt Gingrich as speaker of the house.

Of course, that's not to say that their clearly partisan role necessarily invalidates the point you or they make, it's just an observation. I don't know why you'd bother posting a link to that disgusting excuse for news; I think your OP would've been much stronger without it. Right down my alley? What does that even mean? I have old VHS tapes that are more adaptive and persuasive than you. You can't infer my political views from my criticism. I've also criticised shows like Bill Maher (and the man himself) and their accuracy before too (I realise he's not a news show, but given the audience size there's a responsibility for accuracy, I think). Would that mean I'm from the opposite camp as him? Of course, the real trick in your response was to turn my point into an argument about left leaning media. My post actually criticised a specific news organisation, Fox News. A more appropriate response might've been "can you provide an example of Fox News' bias / poor reporting?"
