Muslims are upset at the West for political reasons. These videos just give them an excuse to rally. They don't care about these videos all too much but rather it's a way to rally behind a cause against the west. Their real anger is politically motivated.

And what kind of priorities does this god have to make being picked on his top priority in a world full of poverty, crime, disease and war? It seems to me such a claimed being is petty and has a glass jaw to be concerned with humans who cant defeat him in any case.

The asshole Muslims who did this also murdered fellow Muslims, so they are not painting a good picture for their cause. And the worst part is that these violent fucks murdered a person who had nothing to do with the video.

So by that standard the asshole Christians who mistook the Sikh for being a Muslim after 9/11 were justified because Muslims attacked America.

I really don't give a fuck if someone protests the words of others. But nothing, should ever lead to murder because you got offended. There was no justification for murdering that Ambassador and 14 fellow Muslims along with him. ESPECIALLY when he helped free Lybia from their own oppression.

Well lets not lie and say we don't offend Christians we do. Even merely saying "god does not exist" can be viewed by some as being offensive. The only thing I point out is the difference between the west and the east, we ban acts of violence that are not self defense even when offended.

What pisses me of more about the video isnt that he stated the fact that Mohammed had young girls as wives, would mis the fucking point that if there was an actual Marry, for most cultures back then, Marry would have been married as soon as she could concieve and young girls can and do start their periods as young as 9. Marry would have marred between the age of 9-14 and Joseph would have been anywhere in his mid teens to early 20s.

So without calling Joseph a pervert, that alone would offend many Christians.

Even today in Christianity like the LDS there are still attempts to marry young girls to older men. So this asshole who made this video is ignoring a cultural norm that was wide spread in antiquity.

My advice to Muslims is look, you can be offended, being offended is something all humans feel at a certain point over countless issues. All we ask in the west is not to get violent.

If I got violent for being equated to Hiltler, I would go to prison in this country. Since I wouldn't want to be some prison bitch being fucked up the ass by someone who most likely would believe in Jesus, I'd rather leave my response to a "fuck you" or ignore such a prick.

They are savages because of the climate they live in. All humans are capable of cruelty, not because all humans will be cruel, but because both creulty and compassion are part of our evolution.

I think the cure is to ridicule the violent fucks of any cause and lock arms with anyone who supports non violence, even in the face of being offended.

You cant change human nature, but you can plant seeds that can change an environment. Again, the only thing stoping Christianity in the west from the same savagry is the concept of non violence, peacful protest and the protection of dissent and free speech. It wasn't that long ago that Christianity was as savage as Islam.

The only differnece between Christianity and Islam is the time frame each are in, but all humans can become tribal and are tribal to varying degrees. The west has merely had the benefit of putting common law as a priorty to put a leash on tribalism getting violent.

You are right, do nothing and you will certainly get nothing.

You want to see the East as never being capable of change. While it is certainly not where the west wants it to be, the cracks are starting to show in many places. Saudi Arabia is now comming to grips that eventually they have to allow women to vote. It wasn't that long ago in Chrisitan history when women didn't have that right and that sexism was biblically based.

The human ability to grow inclusive is not widespead in the east, but I am not as pessimistic as you are. Gays are now more than ever in America being more widely accepted. That ability is not because of religion, but in spite of it.

I think Islam in the East can, with enough pressure, and with creating enough cracks by finding those within that are liberals and moderates, that we can foster the same positive changes America has learned the hard way, to find itself.

So if you think pigs fly, I am quite sure blacks a couple generations ago would have scoffed at the idea of a black president.

The reason I think it is possible, all be it not garunteed, is because the west has gotten over the same tribalism they are suffering now. But it wont happen at all if everyone like you keeps that "that will never happen" attitude.

I think humanity is as much capable of compassion as it is for cruelty and I am not going to sell any human being no matter where they live, I am not going sell them short by not at least offering them a different path.
