10 questions for your pastor

Needed? Only if you are driving a bloody campaign to establish global theocray in his name. Not to mention, this doesn't explain god's apparent change of heart from the old testament to the new. To be completely honest, I'm not even sure what your point is...

OK! We'll start with the Trinity: Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

...Because that IS THE REASON for our existence! There is one other than God Himself, The Son. The Holy Spirit is the Love which is personified between both Father & Son. Before you start spewing gender at me...it has nothing to do with sex, or humanness. It's about Divinity and absolute perfection! You can look at the Trinity as the perfect model Family! "IF" God indeed created us in His image, than there will also be obvious parallels in our lives to look for.

Just as we (most peeps) want to find the perfect ONE in life to love, and to have offspring to celebrate our joy together...so it is with God!

And, because the Love is so abundant in the union of the Trinity it won't be contained. Here's where we "humans" come in.

There were other "beings" created as higher life forms, called Angels. Catholics believe that all beings (human souls & angel spirits) cannot be destroyed because they are created from God. To destroy them would be to deny or kill a part of Himself!

Enter: free choice and....Hades!

.....to be continued!

Oh...where do I begin? First of all, what are you responding to? I haven't any idea where you are coming from with this. Second, saying that using male descriptors is referring to 'Divinity and absolute perfection' is either confusing of uber-sexist. I don't know how god and Jesus are the perfect family when there are only tow of them, and god deliberately god Jesus killed. I don't know on what grounds you claim that angels are a part of god, but if so does that mean god is 1/3 evil? I'm really not sure what point you are trying to make...

Of coarse you can't you must be a believer in Christ before you are able to understand much of scripture and the reality of God as savior. God had no change of heart, are you deaf (trying to be nice), God's whole purpose from the time Adam and Eve sinned till this very time is to redeem those who desire it. There you go again, using the same old statements, it truly does try one's patients, please try and bring something new.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I guess that explains why there are nearly as many interpretations of your scripture as there are Christians.

So if you do not see the Holy Spirit as a person of God, where do you get a trinity from. Christ did call Him another coming in My place, as if the Holy Spirit were a person, the same as the Father and Christ.

Quote:The OT is about Christ and why He is needed, why do you think the disciples used the OT to witness with,.

Because Constantine told them to in order to give his new fucked up religion a bit of history.

Nope! It's because no one, not even true christians™ know what the bible really means. Considering how many times it has been reinterpreted (even in illogical ways to squeak past contradictions) and how many times it has been retranslated (even in the same language) I don't know how you can claim to know what the bible really means (unless it means what it actually says, and just happens to be false. No, that would be too easy...).

Re-translated has nothing to do with interpretation, why are you trying to tie them together. How am I suppose to explain interpretation of scripture to you, it would be easier to explain the workings of a combustion engine to an ant.
