Some atheists like to think of themselves as skeptics. Most aren't. Sure, they're skeptical of religious claims, but they'll readily accept a claim without evidence if it supports their own views.

To point out there are common human failings is OK, but to apply it only to one set, that does not make a claim they are anything other than common humans, seems a little blinkered to say the least.

Another example: just stumbled into the atheism section. Someone posted a video about some tribe which is supposedly atheist. A quick search finds that they believe in spirits that take earthly form and in beings who live above the clouds.

Atheism means not believing in God(s). That tribe is Atheist because they don't believe in God(s). The same way Buddhists are Atheists even if they believe in reincarnation. I'm just curious how you can not know this?

Not sure what you're trying to say. My view is that most all people are skeptical toward some things and unskeptical toward others.

That's right. My Ex wife is an atheist but she claims repeatedly that bread has chopped up chicken feathers in it to make it soft

What I meant is that whoever created the website/video you found on google did proper research. And now that I think of it, I'm probably speaking more for myself than for all atheists.

I agree it is horrendous that religious organizations are still exempt from paying tax.
