Ahhh but isn't that what Jesus was? God brought down into a form lowly humans could comprehend? (February 13, 2013 at 5:57 pm)Baalzebutt Wrote: For fucks sake, he made us, right? You'd think he might be able to come up with a way for us to determine he is real and not some mass delusion perpetuated by blind sheep and reasonless morons. The C.S Lewis argument is that Christianity is so completely nuts no human in their right mind could ever make such a thing up. While all the other religions are clearly manmade because they seem somewhat reasonable by comparison. You're right. The church has nothing to do with god.

You ought to have claimed that it has everything to do with God because God created us in his image as rational creatures and he created a rationally understandable universe that rational minds can exploit. This would the standard Christian apologetic. Quote:The only problem with this is that God is above these things. Yeah...and Superman can be killed by Kryptonite, too. Listen, sonny. You can make up whatever fucking attributes you want for your alleged god. Don't expect anyone here to pay the least attention to you unless you can demonstrate by evidence ( evidence in this case meaning FACTS) that there is such a being. It is there for us to interpet. If it is the word of god, shouldn't it be clear enough that no interpretation is needed? By the same token, if it is the word of god, why has it been edited so many time BY MAN for political reasons?
