I don't covet your supposed freedom to act like adolescents. Christianity is not repression, to feel like you must say there is more to be learned from star wars, that is repression.
I will admit that I have learned from atheists like David Hume, Frederich Nietzsche and others. You are uncultured fools. Your ignorance gushes out of you.
You aren't even aware of the level of indoctrination it takes to make a statement like starwars provides more value than religion.

Oh, the irony. Please, refrain from personal attacks and stick to the subject of the debate.

I am fairly certain there is something more significant to be gleaned from a Star Wars meme than religion.

... I suddenly feel uniquely privileged to be on Strudel's ignore list.

If he continues blocking everyone, he will simply be talking to himself in the threads.

He already is. He just waits until someone replies to his monologue before he continues it. Nothing we say actually gets through to the guy.

No secular approach ever seemed to abate the problems. Once I fully understood the Victory of Christ, I stopped being a slave to them and they have all but gone away.

Your experience is your own and in no way definative of the experience of others or state of things beyond that experience. In other words, I'm glad that you found something that worked - for you-, but that doesn't even remotely demonstrate that the "thing" was what worked...you're just recounting your own experience and testimony (though the implication is subtle, and I appreciate the attempt). I've never needed any god or victory of any christ to handle my own life, but that's just me.

I bet you have never had anyone ask you that in your whole life.
If someone asked that I'd say.
"Do you know what being selfish is?"
when they say yes I'd say.
"don't do that!"
That was easy wasn't it.

I want to be a saint. I want everything inside of me that is corrupt and proud and deceitful to dissolve away and the only thing that exists to be the fire of Jesus Christ. I want all my selfish preoccupations to disappear and have nothing but the all consuming love of God in me, to lead all into holiness, and to attain it myself. I am not there but I long to be there.
I don't feel repressed, I feel alive.
