You certainly will not achieve that by proselytizing on an internet forum.

Why not? Is not the seat of the soul in wisdom?
The seat of the what? There you go again.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Isn't the will governed by wisdom? Why would the internet be different from any other kind of information, in providing direction for the soul to apprehend.
What should this be directed to? Should it be for selfish desires, or for holiness. I think it should be for holiness.
Anyone up for a heaping helping of word salad?

What a foolish thing to think about, whether the internet should be aimed at holiness or selfish desires. How about another Star Trek meme?
Man, what a bunch of idiots those Christians are. At least you know what side you are on, underneath all the irony and laughs, you know what you have chosen. At least you know. RE: The Absolute Truth

Mass information availablibility, maybe, but no particular topic. You can find anything on the internet...so you can get both holiness and selfish desires, and a whole lot of other stuff. For many years I suffered from a variety of obsessions and compulsions (including video games) that were affecting almost every part of my life in the negative way. No secular approach ever seemed to abate the problems. Once I fully understood the Victory of Christ, I stopped being a slave to them and they have all but gone away. I would say that this is more particular of a way of being or thinking, and doesn't necessarily include Christ or even a god. This path comes in many forms, and when it includes the supposition of a god, the god being a part of that path may be purely incidental, and not in any way the cause of the nature of the change. Look at Bill Moyers, one of the wisest people on television and a Baptist too. Idiocy is entirely elective and neither being a Christian nor an atheist will guarantee who is an idiot. Generally speaking, he who yells the loudest that his own wisdom is infallible will turn out to be the bigger fool. |
