Do I sin because of Adam?

So...as I said? Not -because- but grants the ability.

Quote:remember the adage 'happy wife, happy life'?
be self willed and see how long your marriage lasts
My ex wife was very happy, and then very happily walked off with all my shit - for some reason that happiness didn't transfer to my life.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

So if it is literal, then an omniscient god would know both that Satan would turn on him and that if he did, Satan would lead Adam and Eve to eat the fruit if they were not given an understanding of right and wrong. God knows what will be the result in every possible scenario depending on the starting conditions he creates, so why would he even create Satan if he knew this would happen? If god created Adam and Eve in a way that he knew how they would turn out, would he not have, at the very least indirectly, created their sinful nature?

they were created self willed as is God
"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

So god is sinful by nature? (Oh, wait, sin =/= bad, it's just what god doesn't want. So the fact that god is predisposed to doing bad things doesn't mean he is sinful.)

Note: This doesn't state any sinless humans existed, it simply shows it's possible.

OK I agree that a sin has to be blame worthy. (I checked to see that I wasn't check mating myself there! Wink)

So then you contest the following premise Frodo?

Your literal isn't my literal I think.

By literal interpretation I mean the most exact meaning derived from parallel and original cultural references.

That literal interpretation very clearly points to a non literal intended meaning. (Literal as is commonly misrepresented, I believe)

Hope that makes sense, and apologies if I mislead you.

Classic christian stuff, insisting upon special understandings of every word under the sun.

Yes

You can avoid it

I forget the name of the OT character who went straight to heaven without dying. He was sinless.

If it's a choice then this has to be a possibility. I think you said that.

Enoch and Elijah Frodo. Seems that gods curse just didn't have the juice for those two.
(nothing in there about why - including whether or not they were sinless..btw - that's your extra-biblical stuff...a reformed christian might actually call it heretical, un-belief)
