Explain all the natural disasters. You mean to tell me not one of the people who died loved and served God with all their strength? I said it before, I grew up as Christian as Christian can get and still your god did not protect me from traumatic events that still keep me up from sleep many nights. No amount of prayer helped. No amount of faith helped (at least a little) with my aunt's pain when she was agonizing for months because her kidneys sucked. No amount of faith helped any of the kids that I work with from what they go through every day. It would take you one day in their shoes to question your faith. One day! One fucken day. Don't tell me that Psalms what's it's name says wisherwasher because that doesn't prove anything. I see what I see and it's bullshit. I don't need to prove that God exists but doesn't care. You need to prove he exists, but hates us all... or is blind... or retarded.

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind, how was it you became a Christian and then why did you reject God?

It was obvious that most of the traits they describe could not be true. Maybe there is a god, but it is not locked into the bible. That would be rude. That would be like locking "being human" into a science text book.

I just want to see what proof you have for or against God. Not intending to turn this into a nasty debate, I just want to hear what you all have to say about the subject of the God that I believe in, from every religious view. If you would be so kind!

The lack of any evidence FOR god is a kind of evidence.

The fact that things that were previously ascribed to god have a naturalistic explanation is a kind of evidence.

The fact that no two unconnected cultures have come up with the same idea of what a god or gods would be is evidence that the god you believe in is not universal.

But the clincher for me is that the idea of god is a laughably stupid one.

As I posted earlier in this thread, a paradox by nature and definition is something that is at first contradictory of itself, but is still true.

Can you share where you got your definition from? The first part sounds about right, but I've never heard of a requirement that a paradox be true...quite the opposite. A married bachelor is paradoxical. Would you have that it is still true or would you claim that it is not really paradoxical?
