Worst parent to parent punishment is probably a drum set.
Although I do still have a flute-o-phone laying out of sight on the top of a curtain valance -- about 7' high. That sum bitch drove me out of my mind. It's been there for about 15 years now.

Minecraft is a great idea. My brother plays it all the time since he was 6. He can create anything he wants.

My mom bought me some play instruments when I was a kid, and one of them was a pair of cymbals. Apparently, I drove her nuts with it, and now she's scouring the earth to find a pair for my son.

My parents forbade Legos after stepping on some. I felt so deprived! To make up for it, I now have little Lego-compatible Doctor Who figures. But no building blocks. I was never that creative with them. "What are you going to build?" "A building." ...
