Maybe I'm not the best person to discuss this with though, because my gaming habits are fairly casual.

Well, there you go. Nintendo dropped their dedication to the hardcore gamers by courting casual gamers with the Wii. Their reliance on inferior hardware also turned the hardcore gamers away. They also just pumped out shovelware which relied on gimmicks instead of quality and ingenuity. So, if you're just a casual gamer, that's great, however, they've basically spent the last seven years biting the hands the feed them.

They are removing the "phone home" DRM for offline games, and restrictions on used/rental disc-based games.

I might buy the PS4 if my friends all get it. Even then I'll be pretty tight with the games I buy. I'd rather go PC and get my games for £20 rather than £60. I've liked my 360 but unless they suddenly announce a much cheaper Xbone slim then they have more chance of me farting my way to the moon than buying that thing.

I haven't seen a single game on Wii U that I'm hot for. Wake me up when a new Animal Crossing or Super Smash Brothers game comes out.

As far as the Xbox One, well, I really want to play Dead Rising 3, but that doesn't justify buying a whole console. Maybe it will also be released on the PS4?

My brother's getting a PS4, which is great for me because I can't wait to play the new Kingdom Hearts game (and yes, I know it's a ways in the future).

Bioware tends to release its RPGs on the PC, too, so that's lucky for me. I'll probably get away with not buying anything in this generation of consoles.

I'll be honest I have no interest in Bioware anymore. After the failures that were ME3 and DA2, I've given up on them being lost to EA policies like every other company that gets dragged under by them. And now they're doing a "prequel" or "sidequel" ME game. Fuck you, Bioware, and fuck you, EA. Let the fucking series die with some fucking dignity. [/rant]
