RE: Adam and Eve Saved the Environment

Hey GC i have a question that i want your opinion on:
If the tree that Adam and Eve ate from truly was the tree of knowledge of good and evil, that surely means they had no understanding of good and evil before they eat from the tree. So when they disobeyed God and ate from the tree, surely it wasn't their fault because they didn't know any better?

Well I'm not go to argue that much over this pathetic fiction. Because watching two people argue over scripture is like watching two retarded kids fighting.
But you're just making your interpretations up as you go along to support your previously held opinions. Like all religious types.
So have fun with that.

My interpretation was correct, and you are not properly understanding the scripture.
This coming from a nonbeliever.

Because the name was the thing you were fucking taking issue with.
I honestly don't know what else he could have done, the name of the tree is literally the most self explanatory thing in the entire world.
"The tree of knowledge of good and evil? What the hell does that thing do? God's really creating these things with vague names, isn't he?"
What else did you want, a diagram? Should he have posted a youtube video puppet show explaining things? Jesus, GC, this is a forum, an exchange of ideas; if you think he's got it wrong, why don't you put your view of things out there so that people can decide for themselves? I mean, shit, that's the whole point of your big book of multiple choice fairytales to begin with!
I'd also like to note that, as I predicted, the idea of acknowledging any wrongdoing on his part, or amending his view on anything, was simply beyond GC here. Maybe I'm a prophet.
I took issue with both the name and his description, you're so blinded by your own self absorbing bias that you can not even see what has been said. You are the perfect representative of how biased atheist want nothing other than to win an argument, that has to be the most pitiful thing a human can do.

Now I know why you gave up you Christian life, you did not understand anything about scripture, your self imposed ideas on scripture was so bad you did not realize what you could of had.

You're correct scripture points to that. Yes it was there fault, Adam said we are not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve also told the serpent the same thing. God told them the punishment they would receive and they acknowledged they understood what would happen to them.
Parents tell their children the stove eye is hot and will burn them, the child understands that their not to touch the stove eye, even if they have never been burnt. They understand there's a consequence to disobeying, and a small child has not developed a real sense of good and evil ie. right and wrong.
Your description sounds like men who worked under me on job sites, I would tell them not to do something, yet inevitably they would do what they were instructed not to do. When asked why, well you did not explain why . Is telling someone not to by their superior not enough, why do people not understand why a person has a position above their's. Do they just not get that the knowledge the superior has is why he/she is in charge. So again yes, Adam and Eve were at fault. This may not and probably isn't what you wanted, but it's the way I see it.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

That is ridiculous, you know what happens when someone doesn't question their superiors as to why they are doing what they are doing? Answer: The holocaust
6 million jews died because the soldiers were just following orders. Just because someone is more powerful than someone else does not mean they know any better

Do you have anything but ad homs rolling around in that little head of yours at this stage?
The point is, the name contains within itself the description of the thing and its properties: this isn't like a car, or a train or some other object, what it does is very clearly laid out in the name it had been given. It's the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
What is it? It's a tree.
What does it do? Contains knowledge.
What of? Good and evil.
Oh, seems self explanatory. Except, obviously, to Godschild, who needs to have it, and everything else, explained to him in excruciating detail before the idea takes hold.

Your eternal life belongs to you, where you wind up depends solely on you, you had the teaching and rejected it, no one to blame other than you.

Now you're being irrational, those around Hitler agreed with him, and they having control of the military gave no other outcome than the one that happened. You need to understand the times of the late 20's to mid 30's. Questioning the government and questioning your superior at work are two much different things. Besides you have no idea of what situations my type of work were, some could be life threatening.

My eternal life belongs to me? I can wind up wherever I want??
Excellent I choose to be reincarnated into 5 more awesome non-christian lives before being elevated to a being of pure energy.

What about native Americans? the Mayans? The Asians? the Nordic tribes? The Aborigines?
They never heard the name of christ. They never rejected anything.
You and your fellow christ-suckers are fucking imbeciles. It NEVER makes and GOD DAMN sense!
What you say NEVER adds up. The logic is NEVER there. Your god has no more claim to reality than the Tiki god of O'ahu.

As rational mentioned, that is redicilous. I expect my employees to question me. My managers expect me to question them. A "because I say so" attitude does not work in the workplace - no wonder the guys under you do stupid things.
The only people I listen to with very little questions are those that have more knowledge in an area than I do (like the networking guys). They tend to be several levels below me and earn 1/4 of my salary.
