Usually when someone introduces themselves I have a standard quip. But this giant wall O text threw up a red flag. So skip to the bottom and what do you know, a theist claiming they were an atheist and addiction caused it and if we just find god, we will be saved.

I rather like the way the world is - yes there are problems out there like wars, world hunger, etc. God has had a few thousand years to solve these problems and so far: nothing.

But life is a truly amazing experience. It brings me joy every day in my life. That is something that I do not want to change by looking forward to death.

Good luck on your future endeavours. I'm sure you will find people more willing to listen to yoj somewhere.

I used drugs when I was a christian and when I deconverted to atheist, I somehow quit drugs! That means being an atheist is the greatest thing evar!........... No, that's silly of me, its called a 'post hoc ergo propter hoc', "after this, therefore because of this".

I too quit smoking weed and drinking as I became an atheist. My reasoning was that I want to live and live well, toremember the living and to be there for those whom I love in the most complete way I possibly can. As for the commandments, well, I live by rules such as those quite happily without god.
