Ummm... I didn't mention anything about a god or proof for a god. My question was "how does the evidence answer this question: how did all this get here?" Certainly we have evidence of a big bang and evidence of evolution that, at least, begins to answer how.

So...

I believe that the one piece of evidence related to this question is that we cannot reduce anything into nothing. We can smash it, pulverize it, blast it with a laser, and in one form or another that material will still remain in the realm of somethingness.

This evidence suggests that this cosmic space that we occupy has always been here. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying that this is what the evidence suggests.
There is an ALLLL-knowing, ALLLL-powerful, inVISible being who is everywhere, who created the WHOLE universe, who lives in another dimension called heaven, who is perfect in every way, who was never born and will never die, and who watches you every minute of every day (even when you're squeezing one out on the toilet). There are also unicorns, leprechauns, Santa Claus, an Easter Bunny, and a giant purple people eater.

JUST BELIEVE IT!

Language is a double edge sword and so risky for those who wield it. Symbolic language is a recent development of something which started off as means of cooperative action with others. When we ask questions such as this we have flown off the rails. Not every question capable of being asked has an answer. This isn't always a good thing, even though occasionally it will be. (This question is not likely to yield anything of value and you might just get drawn into believing in magic.)

That wasn't my post. Also, the Law of Conservation of energy isn't applicable at all levels of reality, or at least I recall Victor Stenger clarifying something like that in his "The Comprehensible Cosmos".

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
