Nope , you're old enough to make your own decisions and you dont believe in Allah . So you're not muslim . But babies and children are not responsible for this , they cant decide .

Children ask why a lot then listen to their parents or guardians, if they were born muslims their parents wouldn't have to tell them about it.

Asked questions surprises me alot here , I would expect much more intelligent questions to be asked .

Being born as muslim does not mean babies know Allah and Islam . What is meant here is their interest for a creative power and their innocence as a new born human being , innocent , in need of love , away from hate , well-intentioned ... etc .... As the teachings of Islam .

You do realize that being raised with indoctrination where only the one faith is taught does not allow the young one to truly decide, correct? In most cases, children believe what their parents believe, because their parents inform them that it is true and that they must believe. Not much of a choice going on there.

To truly let the young decide, either teach all faiths to allow them to decide in which they want to believe or teach none.

Event that brainwashing is very much exaggerated , noone wear children chip that prevents them thinking . They will start to questions when they reached sufficient maturity , noone can wash the questioning people's brains . Many verse in Quran starts or ends with the sentence "For people thinking and questioning" . So islam want muslims to question about what is going on .

This was a research paper published in the Telegraph . Atheist people say "our religion is science" but they throw aside science when science say something that atheist people dont want to hear . Most respected atheists have been suddenly forgotten when they finally accept the existence of Allah , they even accused of being senile or getting money . Although atheists have much more of a source of funds .
