How can god be the default position? That makes no sense!

Anyway, I said the 'mind' is generated by the brain, which is just a collection of nerves and chemicals. What's embarrassing about that? (And by the way, embarrassing has two r's, not one). If you're going to dispute this, I'd like to know where you studied Neuroscience, and more importantly, I'd like to see your peer-reviewed papers published on an alternate composition of the brain with supporting evidence. Don't disappoint.

Yep, and all of those things are representative of emergent properties of the chemical and electrical impulses in the brain. What makes you think that simply describing things about minds counts as a refutation of the idea that it's a part of the brain?
That's like if I'd made the claim that cheese comes from dairy products, and your answer was "stop embarrassing yourself. Cheese is curdled, processed, ripened and aged before it is packaged." It's technically correct, but it's (either intentionally or through ignorance) ignoring the first step of the process.

To prove that god did something you first have to demonstrate that god exists and just so you know,the default position is not "god did it" it's "we don't know yet".
The god done it assumption is what has held progress back for hundreds of years and is one of my pet hates. Lazy thinking that it is.
