We're talking about atheism , this is not my father beats your father speech . As like my little cousin , when I ask her why she is not doing her homework , the answer she gives me "you are also not doing your homework" , this is not the answer . While we are talkin about atheism and its processing way, suddenly the issue comes to Islam . We can talk about islam and its sub topics under another title .

I'd say it's worse: ignorance is forgivable if it's corrected, but if you're fully aware of your own bad behavior and logical fallacies, and fail to change them, that just makes you a bastard. The sad part is, Nineteen seems almost cheerfully aware of her own questionable actions, yet she just waves them off as though she can see no path to improve them.

There are plenty of beliefs i have which would not stand logical scrutiny. Indeed i suspect that is true for all of us. I think it's a greater sin to twist logic to try to make it fit than to simply admit that you don't want to / can't make it fit.

Well, that's why we debate: other perspectives allow us to see the extent to which our beliefs are true, and the extent to which they're wishful thinking on our part. That's what learning is all about; we all fall victim to cognitive biases and dissonance, the best we can hope for is to strip away as much of it as possible. When you're aware of the potential weakness of your position, but won't do anything to change it, you've effectively sealed yourself off from ever improving or growing on that point. At least the person twisting logic to fit their own desires is still within the realm of logic at all.

No atheism is just a rejection of the belief in god there is no rule.

Everything can be shaped in terms of time and according to one's wishes . Such as something that is considered as unethical can be ethical at a later time or may vary from person to person according to self intrests . For example there were persons who were marry with their own daughters in Sweden while I was living there . Sweden is a country with population of atheist majority . This was perfectly natural behavior there . Also there were so interesting persons , one of them was with long mustaches and beards , but the same person was wearing a skirt , he was a homo , world's weirdest homo . A country with zero ethics . Scandinavian countries are able to include it .

Your politic and ideologic understanding is based on your belief and evolving to support atheism .

What I think you are saying here is that an atheist could do anything because they have escaped religious oppression, but it does not mean they MUST do these things so your point is a bit ...trying to think of a nice way to put this but I don't think there is one .........stupid.

I got out my ouija board, formed a circle with Big Ted, Panda and Shagy Dog, asked "is atheism true?" The board said atheism is true.

For me it couldn't be more simple then no evidence for god(s).
Or not what i would consider evidence. Also the amount of gods over human history help too.

I've been reading through this thread and if I understand correctly, athiests don't believe in anything, they're identified as atheists because they don't believe in a deity. Anyway, if this is the case, then the question doesn't apply because it's asking for your strongest reason for "believing" in atheism. But I did get some understanding of the atheist mindset.
