So far my experiment with atheism kinda sucks. . I'm still waiting for the payoff!

Sorry to disappoint... there's no payoff.

At most, you can feel content in the knowledge that there's no big brother watching you and recording all your deeds to apply a proper punishment (or, in rare cases, praise) after your death.

Personally the most I expect God to do for me is make me feel better when I feel bad. Which, since a few weeks ago, I've not been doing. So far my experiment with atheism kinda sucks. . I'm still waiting for the payoff!

Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you want to be comforted by an imaginary being, I'm sure we could all recommend plenty of fantasy novels you could read to get your mind off things.

...or you could find real people who are prepared to do the same: family, friends, lovers, therapists, mentors.

Assuming God exists, this still wouldn't be surprising. After all, even Peter failed to keep on the water in the Bible (he. managed it intially). So technically this should say that he attempted to be the 3rd person in history to manage this.
