Yea like that time he made plants before he made sunlight. Totally compatible with evolution

You don't see many atheists investigating religion and God further than just reading a few choice parts of the Bible and atheist polemic books such as the God Delusion, God is not Great, The End of Faith and Breaking the Spell.

And when you investigated religion/God, did you stop at the Bible, or have you read Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, etc. texts (and their many commentaries) as well? If not, why not? Indoctrination perhaps?

Exactly and the Bible rejected all of those gods.

Piss off, go get a brain and learn something about science you pea-brained plank.

The babble is for gullible half-wits who believe in things that don't exist.

And who gives a rat's ass what you think anyway. You, by definition, are brain-washed and incapable of independent though.

All you are capable of doing is repeating what your clergy and the babble tells you.

Perhaps it's a diamond that certain people have covered in shit rather than a shit covered with diamonds?

Absolutely I've read all of them and they're all good in certain different ways. Christianity is the best one given that it has a good foundation in solid reason that say Buddhism doesn't really have but it has the unconditional love, forgiveness and compassion that Islam doesn't really have. Also it's not so much based on compulsory religious practices there's no set time of day to pray or any of that business.

Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

(Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan

(Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. "Why have you let all the women live?" he demanded. "These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.

Nope, definitely a shit

So you just skipped over the genocide and the raping of little girls...... I guess that's what Christians have to do to justify believing, I really shouldn't be surprised

Haha, that's brilliant.

A God sacrificing himself to himself is the best way to help out humankind. If you were writing a book and sent that to a publisher they'd think you were a mental case.

Looks like the only shit is issuing from your mouth, Sword: Jesus didn't exist until the new testament, so his chances of being at the heart of the old are zero.

Oh, and also, it's interesting that you'd characterize your supposedly perfect god's first attempt at communicating with us as shit... Thinking

Jesus isn't anywhere in the old testament. Yahweh made a really bad first impression, and this whole Jesus thing reeks of a publicity stunt more than anything else.
