False dichitomy, There are more more option then that, what if jesus was simply a tezacher at the time and his words were distorted? Or what if he never really existed and was created and used for politcal or perosnal gain.

Also, we have a great record of solar eclipses at that times as well history in general. Neither seneca or pliny or any other contemporary naturalist records any eclipse that copuld coincide with the crucifixion and despite it being the silver age of latin literature not a single contemporary historian mentions him. And lots of whackos just like jesus do get mentioned, such as the egyptian, simon of perea and apollonius of tyana.

Though I understand your sentiment Max, I do not wholly agree with you. My "career" as a forumist started when I was around that age, and believe me, I knew exactly what I was getting into when I started frequenting message boards. If you are old enough to log on and type on your computer, you are old enough to be called out on your bullshit. I am not for mollycoddling someone because of their age, that would be discriminatory. The beauty of the internet is that it brings everyone to the same level in the sense, that if you don't tell your age, who knows if you're 15 or 65? If you, like JesusLover1, trods in, thinking you are the whole ass, when you're in fact not even the shadow of half of the hole, I don't care about age, I care about the argument brought to the discussion. And I see it fit to reply in kind. JesusLover1 is sanctimonious and ignorant, yet clearly has an aura of false superiority. I think by shaking the kid and showing her that reality is in fact a façade, is the kindest thing we can do.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? I started debating poli sci majors on the NationStates forums when I was 14, and I learned a lot, and I might not have if they knew my age and gave me "NationStates forums lite."
