I mean seriously. How can anyone be so stupid to think that your god is sitting on the shoulders of billions of people reading trillions of digital conversations. It seems obvious to me that your god would've long since smited me and Min for the shit we write about his son/split personality on a daily basis.

Basically, where is your fucking god?!?! Where is this all-powerful, all-knowing scary-ass mother fucker? Is he illiterate? Does he speak English? Because the shit I've been writing isn't exactly flattering. Anyone? Where is your limp-dick pathetic excuse for a god?
Is he reading this? Is there WI-FI in heaven? At the very least does god have dial-up?

this says it best..

2 Peter 3
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

2 Peter 3
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Please. The fact that Jesus didn't return and establish his kingdom was already an embarrassment to the church by the time 2 Peter was written, hence the shameless spin. To quote it in the 21st Century as some kind of assurance that all will come to pass is simply pathetic. Grow up.

According to the Bible, no man knows when Jesus will return.

Quote:Matthew 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understandSmile

Jesus clearly states that the end will come when the gospel is preached to all the world. Also he mentions "the abomination of desolation" written in the book of Daniel.

let's look in Daniel about what it says about this "abomination".

Quote:Daniel 11:31
And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Quote:Daniel 12:11
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Have you ever wondered why Judaism no longer practices animal sacrifice? This is because the only place it is lawful to sacrifice at is the temple, but the temple (holy place) was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD (hence the daily sacrifice being taken away). Erected in place of the temple was "the Dome of the Rock" (the abomination*) Islamic shrine in 691 AD.

*Abomination being translated from the Hebrew word for Idol worship

This prophecy is fulfilled around 1200 years after it was first written and over 600 years after the books of Peter. Saying that the return of Jesus was supposed to happen before the books of Peter was written is false.

Also There is a period of time given after the "abomination" is set up of 1290 days.

this video seem to do a decent job at explaining what the 1290 days mean.

I wonder, when was the first time someone mocked a Christian over how late the second coming was? Because that would mark that date as the beginning of the "last days." Presumably the last days before the end. Peter tries to cover himself by stating that god might seem to be a bit slow but that he's simply patient, but it's possible that we've been in the "last days" for hundreds of years now.

Time is meaningless for an eternal being. The "last days" could encompass a time period of millions, billions, or trillions of years. Or longer. It's not as if god is getting old, and it's not as if he owes it to us to finish the job at all, much less within a specific time period. Maybe when Jesus spoke of Armageddon, he was actually referring to the heat-death of the universe.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Sorry - but as a claimed educator - YOUR statement is ONLY as good as the proof of the existence of a god YOU include to back up your statement - and I see NONE

IF you have PROOF - by all mean post it here - otherwise - your statement is nonsense
