day five introduces animals (sea, land, air) that are self aware creatures and as such manifest attributes of mind, will, emotions.
Genesis 1:20,21: And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.
God creates all of the creatures of the sea and every species of bird on the fifth day. If scientists had found birds in the Cambrian layer (or even a halibut), we'd all be creationists today. There are extremely few --if any!-- species from the Cambrian period which had not become extinct by the time the writer of Genesis described the fifth day of creation.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

There was also no mention of the Sumerians kicking back with warm beer.

okay, you are correct. sea mammals are introduced on day 5, specialized land mammals on day 6, on other land mammals, the text is silent.
Atheist Credo: A universe by chance that also just happened to admit the observer by chance.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

at that site Simple to remember (Judaism online) it just lists what the natural state of earth and our universe would be if it were younger or older than it is now or if earth was closer or farther away etc.. It seems that they are attributing simple physics and logical conclusions (like our earth wouldn't be habitable if it wasn't right where it is) and think that's proof for intelligent design.

you do understand that rocks that fall into a stars gravitational pull start going in circles around the star and their orbits inevitably drive them into the star, right?
Obviously there's a habitable zone where all the elements are able to exist and thrive and *gasp, evolve with the right conditions. Do you believe earth is the only inhabited planet in the galaxy and beyond?
it's irrational to discount all the design evidence by appealing to that which can never be observed or detect, or appealing to infinity; theories breakdown if infinity needs to be involved. carl sagan had it right, we are alone.

We are not necessarily alone at this very second but the distances are so great that for all practical purposes we are alone. I'm sure that there are billions of planets that have life forms, none of which are compatible with ours. So it's a good thing that are are so far from them.

Seriously, how do you keep doing that? How do you keep chastising us for talking about things we "can never observe or detect" and then in the next sentence tell us about intelligent designers and god without your head exploding from the sheer cognitive dissonance?
Why are you such a hypocrite?

Repeating the phrase "design evidence" and the same argument from ignorance is not providing evidence.

Which pieces of your 'design evidence' can be observed or detected or tested? Where are the trademarks of your specific god on creation? Point to specific examples of evidence of design that could not possibly be explained in any other way but as being the product of your specific god.
