Foreign policy is always based on what is best for corporate profits.

Today's Israel has nothing to do with the Israel of the Bible, which went out of existence in 70 AD. Our foreign policy towards Israel should be decided the way we decide any foreign policy - what is in the best interest of the US and the world. Of course it is in our interest to keep a friendly ally in that region, but we must continue to discourage unwarranted aggression as we have been.

And if today's Israel was the Israel of the bible, then our foreign policy should be other than what is in the best interest of the US and the world?

Indeed, it is a delicate balancing act requiring supreme skill.

For example we have to simultaneously cozy up with and demonize the Chinese, that way the Chinese will keep loaning us the money that we can turn into profits for our defense sector firms.

When the Chinese wants their money back, I somehow doubt the funds will come out of the bottom line of the defense firms.

No. I just brought that up because someone said that christians want to support Israel on a biblical basis and I don't agree with those christians on that premise. I think that a big part of the reason for Israel's aggressiveness is that they need to be that way to keep from being destroyed by other nations in the region. They've been resented and opposed since the establishment of their nation.

there are countless places on the globe where we could have had a Jewish state without bloodshed.

why did it have to be the Holy Land? because that was the land that God promised them. Just like in Scripture, Israel conquers off and slaughters their non jewish neighbors.

the Jewish state exists where it does due to biblical basis and the promise God made to them Jews. Modern palestine was not a blood bath or a war zone before the creation of Israel.. a lot oof good Israel has done.
