Hey, real quick: name one other scenario in which a person or group of people's religious liberties include the right to dictate to other people what they can use their rightful compensation for their work on. Just one.
I'll wait.
Rightful compensation? No. Forty eight of the 50 states are "At Will" states. Employees in those states don't have special entitlement rights to demand what goes into their benefits packages. Medical benefits are part of a package that a company offers to its employees. Unless otherwise negotiated between management and labor, it's the employer who chooses what goes in the package that's being offerered, and it's the employer who can change the terms of those packages at will and without warning. If an employee doesn't like the benefits package, look for another job where the benefits are more to their liking. In the case of Hobby Lobby the SCOTUS found that the dictates of obamacare to provide abortion services and contraceptives which induced abortions violated the free exercise of their first amendment rights. The SCOTUS judged right in this case.

Here's my prediction.
If the GOP takes the Senate, they'll begin impeachment proceedings against Obama and Biden under whatever pretext they can manufacture.
...and that will make John Boehner president for the remaining term.
Great! The country should turn around for the better then!

Hey, does anyone think that we might be able to get some impeachment proceedings started based upon the language of this ruling as well?

Impeachment is just a matter of getting enough of the GOP (and conservaDems) in enough seats in Congress.
The reasons "why" is only a fig leaf and it won't be hard to improvise as they go along.

We're in agreement (that Boehner will be president, not the "great" part). Go tell all your friends. "Vote GOP to get Boehner into the White House."
Let me know when you can what pundits or politicians you consider to be "moderate left". I'm curious.

Excellent. Give me your address and I'll put a "Vote for Boehner" sign in your yard. He's not much but he'd be a heck of a lot better than barack.
Moderate left? Tell me who you think is moderate right. You go first.

lol, I just want to flesh that out because I'm dead serious. The situation with Obama, as I see it, is this. Yes, he's asked you to house a smelly pile of dogshit in the castle (obamacare)- but otherwise he's given you the keys, has he not (you even get to throw lye on the pile)? Isn't that pretty much how he leans? You do hear "us liberals"
complaining about him - right?
If it were me, I'd plug my nose and say "thank you" for the keys.

Sure.
Remember this candidate for the GOP primary?
John Huntsman
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Huntsman_Jr.
Next, we can move further to the right into "Conservative-but-not-bugfucked-crazy-wingnut-far-right-conservative" column:
My senator Turtle-man Mitch "My-God-Get-This-Man-Some-Properly-Fitting-Dentures-Now" McConnell from Kentucky. Much as I hope this guy loses in November, I'd classify him in this category.
...and the guy who won the primary before last in 2008? Granted, he's loopy at times when he hears of shots being fired somewhere in the world and he did give us Sarah Palin, so I'm so relieved he lost. Still, he's also been willing to slam on the breaks when his followers start talking about Democrats paling around with terrorists, etc. So I'd put him in the conservative-but-not-bugfucked-crazy-wingnut-far-right-wing GOP column.
Now let's move to "Mostly Crazy But Lucid on Some Specific Issues"
Sure this guy's a nut on some issues but if I was president (let that thought sink in) I'd happily have him audit the Pentagon:
Did you see it when he almost won Iowa in 2012? I thought heads were going to explode on Fox "News".

First of all, when you receive a benefit for working at a place, that isn't your boss' money. That's YOUR money. You earn it as part of your compensation package for the labor you provide. When your boss says insurance money can be spent for viagra but not for female care, as is often the case with these pious companies (my wife who worked in health insurance can offer you many stories along these lines), that is sexist. Regardless, your boss should not have the authority to butt into your life and dictate to you how your benefit money is spent.
Second, you missed the earlier Supreme Court ruling, that Christian terrorists are entitled to harass and threaten women who seek health care services at clinics that provide abortions. That's part of the package of the recent far right wing rulings by the SCOTUS.
Third, corporations are NOT people and the do NOT have religious faith. This twisted ruling swings the door wide for religious discrimination and harassment at the workplace.
Well at least with me you are making arguments and not calling me a sexist. Which is good. In regards to your first point, I'm sure that many people's wives/partners are happy that Viagra is covered by health insurance. It is hardly something that just benefits men. That thought mentality is part of the archaic belief that women don't enjoy sex and that men are the only one who benefit from it. Obviously a ridiculous comparison. The latter point that your boss is butting into your life and arguing how your money is spent is a lost one. You can still buy birth control. I've paid for my own condoms most of my life (my college included them with my tuition, which just means people who weren't getting laid were in part paying for the condoms I was using then. One of the weirdest subsidies ever.) Birth control just isn't that expensive. The people effected by this are obviously employed.
Your second point regards free speech. I'm a free speech absolutist. Of course people have a right to protest, harass, whatever anybody they feel like as long as violence is not committed. I doubt that you truly believe that unfettered free speech is a right-wing ideal. I also note that that decision was unanimous by all the justices, including the left wing ones.
Your third point I agree with. However this decision only applies to privately owned companies, which are owned by individuals. So it's rather a moot point in this case.
