Misconceptions may easily arise from an overload of cheese burger gravings occupying the brain.

Religion of peace?

It's my understanding that the Koran commands you to give nonbelievers an opportunity to convert. But if they don't, you're supposed to kill them.

Is that correct?
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?

What makes the qur'an more believable than the bible?
Might it be.. maybe just maybe, because you're raised to follow the qur'an?

totally agree with you thats why i love talking with atheists they are the ones who got out of any programming or brainwashing even if some of them get programmed by the mediaSmile
but as you get out from that i did that too and i have been searching and studying different religions and talking with people with different religions for about 2 years the problem is you must do this by yourself first if you depend on untrustable resources you will end up with nothing.i was willing to open a thread about how i get to believe that there is god and that islam is the truth but the members here kept asking on things that is not true about islam so i decided to make this misconceptions clear first also you can check this thread

it contains some of the reasons that made me believe that islam is the truth

Here is verse from the Koran:

4:89 They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them,

This verse is telling you to have no unbelieving friends, and to kill unbelievers wherever you find them.

This is the message of the religion of peace?

Understand... that the only peace that can be attained is death.

Ergo: killing is the only way to bring peace. Sleepy
