Misconceptions About Islam

I have seen people with misconceptions though!
 I've even been among them from time to time... :Sleepy:
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
Misconceptions may easily arise from an overload of cheese burger gravings occupying the brain.

Religion of peace?
It's my understanding that the Koran commands you to give nonbelievers an opportunity to convert. But if they don't, you're supposed to kill them. Is that correct?
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.
God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems? What makes the qur'an more believable than the bible?
Might it be.. maybe just maybe, because you're raised to follow the qur'an? So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them, This verse is telling you to have no unbelieving friends, and to kill unbelievers wherever you find them. This is the message of the religion of peace?
