RE: What do you say to say to a Drunk interested?
Just do what you have to, its your problem, only you can solve it, if you can't there's the police, or maybe a hit man.

"Just do what you have to do" is very subjective. Thus the reason I asked and started this thread.

"There's the police" implies violence or some other lawful grievance. We are well before that I should hope, should not discourse have its turn?

As for "or maybe a hit man" I shutter to think if that becomes common place and not hyperbole.

I assume you joke at my expense, I'm not good at getting jokes thought. But if it was I see some humor in it. I lol at me approaching a "hit man".

You keep talking about violence, standing up for your rights, or even having to fight is not really violence, the same as killing a mosquito on your arm, its not violence, its getting rid of the problem, its called growing balls.

Perhaps you and I have different equations for comparing mosquitoes and people's faces, torsos, lives. That's completely fair. I don't know you and I don't presume to know. But I will guess!

I guess from your posts that you are very strong and will not take any insult lightly. Do you resort to violence, punching, kicking, MMA awesome crazy shit, every-time you are insulated? I should guess you don't. So you must have some other means of handling disagreement.

Do you like cars? I for one do. If you do this analogy will make sense. If you don't It won't.

Say for example somebody came up to you and insisted on discussing the merits of a 64' Shelby Mustang vs a 65' Shelby Mustang. And you informed him clearly that there was no Shelby in 64 and no production in 65 of the Shelby Mustang which was strictly a racing version later introduced as the GT in 65. You did so, Politely. And He insisted there was a 64!

Baring Violence what would you do from there? You'd informed him of the clear truth, but he's a drunk so he doesn't compute it. What's your next, not "punch him in the face" or "insert profanity here" course of action?

It's not til the mosquito lands on your balls that you find another way without violence. :-)
I read that somewhere, maybe even here.

@ the OP

“Hey pretty girl I’m here with. This obnoxious drunk is annoying the crap out of me and I’m not able to enjoy your company as much as I otherwise would. The way I see it I have several options.

Option 1: Beat him into submission with the brass lamp on the end table over there. That’s probably not a good idea as I abhor violence. Plus it could mean jail time for me, and I have better uses for my time like making you feel special.

Option 2: You and I can leave and dancing/dinner/friend’s house/parking on moonlight ridge.

Option 3: We can stay here where you are enjoying yourself, and I am not.”

If she picks anything other than option 2 she isn’t pretty enough. Leave her ass there and go find another pretty girl.
Save a life. Adopt a greyhound.

Na, of course I was talking more about protecting yourself if it did come to a fight, a drunk is more easily put down by someone who is sober. If you live with this drunk, well of course you have to do something about it, either tell him to piss off, or get out from there yourself. And again there's the police, that's not violence, its only violence if he wants to make the situation violent.

1. Violence is prohibited as an answer, as I am small and weak.
2. Condescending and obvious rudeness is prohibited as it may lead to point One.
3. Flight is prohibited as I am there with a pretty girl and do not wish to leave her.
4. Reason is not prohibited but allowed but should expect wild generalities.

Any interested parties are welcome to this discussion. This is my first attempt at starting a thread and wanted to make it something I'd had personal experience with. There fore the "I" is Me in the above statements, while you can't be "Me" I would ask that you substitute yourself for "Me" as if you were bound by the 4 items above.

However if you cannot, as I have no right to hold you to not being yourself, feel free to share your own reactions and perhaps I can learn something from them. But if you are dictating as "I" please hold your actions to the 4 items above, otherwise say "So-and-so would...". So I can keep it strait.

Thank you all who participate.

I'd say tell them what your beliefs are but if they go on and on about tell them you don't want to go on and on about it.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Yea I like that, but the thing is, if there is violence, you have to do at least something, if its sex that keeps one in that situation, then maybe castration would help lol.

While I rally your reply none of them engage the abuser or seek any kind of reconciliation in which both parties are satisfied. Abuser and Abused. All options are of avoidance, save one which would obviously be avoided by Me.
