My boss is Serbian. I showed him the plot this afternoon and he asked what sought of deranged fucker would think of this shit. Then I showed him the movie title and he told me to get fucked. :-)

Worst movie you've seen

I think Divergent is up there for the worst, and I have 101 reasons: http://atheistforums.org/thread-28530.html
Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?
Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.
Lol your boss sounds like a fun guy.

Worst movie I ever saw? Probably Ang Lee's Hulk. Bad in pretty much every way a movie can be bad, but not bad enough to recommend in a Plan 9 From Outer Space kind of way. If there was a way to un-make a movie, I'd nominate this one for it first.

If you take it seriously (as was intended) you'll want those minutes of your life back. As a parody of gung-ho US war films, Starship Troopers would have been utterly brilliant. But I thought it was a legit film and... ugh. As for Battlefield: Earth, keep telling yourself that the main bad guy is Vinnie Barbarino, and you'll be just fine.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment) (September 12, 2014 at 10:09 am)ManMachine Wrote: This film has one of my all-time favourite lines in it. Rubber is by far the worse movie I have ever seen.

My grandmother told me she had traced are family origins and found a direct link to Ann Boleyn, so I had to watch it. How bad could out be? I couldn't even sit through it and left the theater before it ended. |
