The best way I found of destroying someones homophobia is introducing them to someone who is homosexual. Once they have a human face attached to their bigotry, it's a lot harder to maintain their bigotry.
Since I'm an asshole, I introduce them without telling them they were gay. I'll have them interact several times and eventually asks what you thought of him before revealing the "awful" truth. Then watch them squirm trying to defend their bigotry. It worked wonders on my sister.

Be a bit tougher if you were trying to get somebody over their strange ideas about black folks, huh. I mean, I guess you could do it, but it would take a damn willing participate and a whole lot of pageantry.

Nah, just meeting a person on-line that they thought was white, who turns out to be black might do it.

The world needs more "social warriors", and maybe some "social warriors" that will actually do a little actual "war". As in, the next fuckwad caught on video beating a woman gets his balls cut off, deep fried, and fed to him. (If that was one of my daughters being beaten, said fuckwad had better grow eyes in the back of his head. I will be coming for him.)

Oh great. Just what we need! Vigilante justice over easily misinterpreted and spin-able video clips. Yeah, great way to fix the world.
I'd hope you'd raise daughters who are mature and self-reliant enough to NOT even get in that sort of situation, or be wise enough to leave it once it starts.

You don't really have to cut them off. If you band them tightly enough they'll just fall off on their own -given an appropriately delicious amount of time-.
(and also rough enough to handle business if they -do- find themselves in such a situation and -cannot- just walk off Endo. Maturity and self-reliance are not panacea.)
