This wasn't directed at me, but if we're talking about the god of the Bible, I would never serve such a monster.

But within the limits of my instrumentation and within conventions of common discourse, I know there is no elephant in my refrigerator and know it is rational to believe there is/are God/gods. What instrumentation are you using and what is its current perceived output?
Exactly the same as you, with the exact same output.

But you have no proof for anything, so the opposite view could actually be rational and yours not.

I don't believe there are any gods because there is no evidence of any gods.
How is that not rational?
You believe there is a God without any evidence of that God.
How is that rational?

If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Because there can be evidence.
To say that you disbelieve because there is no evidence, when such evidence is logically impossible, is not rational.

Here we go again...
If you claim your god can alter or interfere with the universe, it would leave evidence of its presence. Its actions would leave a trail of evidence.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

You claim it is logically impossible without supporting that claim.
Claim dismissed.
