For a while I thought reincarnation to be the preferable afterlife option. At least you get a break between the screwups in your lives and kinda erase and rewind.

Yeah, reincarnation would definitely be cool. Just gotta hope I don't reincarnate as an egg battery chicken.

As a Muslim, I made my peace with it a long time ago. Death is no more than a journey.

Excuse me, but who are you to say what death means to anyone but you? I'm an atheist and it doesn't scare me.

Never knew how depression makes you dangle around the edges of atheism, like god where is he stuff are gloomy, you can't make your day without drugging the hell out of yourself, hit the bong, god doesn't exist.

Then the next day you imagine how your death would be like..really ? so that's life ? is that how life is supposed to be ?
It's not just scary. It's terrifying. It's depressing..

Who am I ? A muslim who almost became an atheist. And during that period ? death was scary. Terrifying.

And that still only gives you authority in your own views of death. The fallacy you're practicing is generalizing from a particular.

I really don't want to be reincarnated. The idea of endlessly living over and over again is about as depressing as it gets for me. Once is enough.

I never see what the point of reincarnation is supposed to be anyway, since you have no memory, personality or anything meaningful from the last life (apart from pretending in past-life regression). So in what way have "you" been reincarnated?

Well, for all you know you are a reincarnation right now, and the cycle continues without you knowing it. You just kinda forget and start all over again. That doesn't seem bad to me as every time you live it will be a whole new experience.

well past life regression is a new thing really so you can kind of drag out memories but hell... i was probably some looser in a old life.

You depressive? Never would have guessed.

I don't fear death, I don't fear the process (for several years, now, I've carried a 'final friend').

The only thing that troubles me is - what if I die before I've read everything I want to read?

Well, scientists put it to the test and just like with out of body experiences, the output was nothing or in the case of past life regression, bullshit.

I watched some documentary about it, where a man claimed to have been a member of Cromwell's new model army army. When in hypnosis he uttered a lot of rubbish, but couldn't even name the standard commands issued at the time.

But reincarnation seems pretty cool. You could booze again, have a lot of sex and repeat all the fun things. But it has it's downsides too. Tough luck, if you're born into the Phelps family or some radical Mullah's.

I don't really fear death. I just don't really think about it. I'd hate to die painfully, or nearly die and come back severely crippled, but then who wouldn't. I've tried to kill myself three times and none of those times was afraid of dying. Though I'm uncertain what happens after death, I guess I'll find out when I get there. (Or not.)
