The original cock and bull story.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Well, I mean he probably didn't -have- to change into a bull...but if you're gonna change into -something-...a bull has it's obvious allure.

I swear I laughed out loud with this.
If it`s true that our species is alone in the universe then I`d have to say the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.

Hell was made for the devil and his angels.
There is no purgatory and the Hitlers, Stalins ,Maos are not going to Heaven,
so the only option left is to be sent where the devil is going.
There are people who would not be fit for heaven.
What else would you do with them?
I am new to the forum so forgive me for jumping right in and not waiting until I get to the end of the thread to read all the answers.
When I was a Christian, I was taught that there would be no jealousy or anger in heaven because people are changed once they enter heaven and no longer feel such emotions. Why couldn't bible god change Hitler and other evil people so that they are peaceful, loving people just like he will the believers? Christianity is supposed to be about love and forgiveness and I would guess those traits aren't believe to stop at death.
However, even if you believe that people don't change before they enter heaven, why would the punishment have to last forever? Wouldn't most people admit their crimes and beg forgiveness after a few months in hell? Why can't god just forgive them at that point?

there are lots of problems with the issue of eil on earth, free will in heaven, and the state of hell. I'm not even sure Hitler would be in hell, because he said the right things to the right deity. At worst he may be called least in heaven, like Jesus said when people break the least of his commandments, but he wouldn't be in hell.

I guess you missed the part of scripture that says Christ faced the cross as a sinless man, but since you nor I are sinless we could not understand what that means. We are all up in arms when an innocent man is put to death for a crime he did not commit, yet you make fun of Jesus dying on the cross and He was completely innocent.
Christ was sacrificed for mankind, the blood He spilled was to cover our sin, it took perfection that we are not capable of to save those who desired salvation.
You want to make a big deal out of not being impress, Christ gave up everything when He came here in human form, He gave up his power, his place of sovereignty and every thing else He enjoyed in heaven.
GC
Jesus' death is not a sacrifice because he knew ahead of time that he would be resurrected.
Bible god supposedly created a world where humans are flawed and can never be good enough for heaven so he punishes them forever unless they accept his son( who is also actually him) who he sent to be tortured and to commit suicide by cop. Oh, but his son(really him) knew that he wouldn't really permanently die. Can't you see that makes no sense, at all.

For that matter, why could 'god' stop Hitler beforehand?
Either, there is no god or he's a miserable prick.

Doh. Of course, that is the real question. Why did so many innocent people have to die when god could have just made a world without Hitler?
