The air pressure on Mt. Everest is about 1/3 sea level. You would die floating around at 5 miles above sea level.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.

Imagine the heat sink problem. The temperature of the Water/Snow at it's source and it's affect on our fragile thermal balance of our weather system would be colossal.

I believe the flood water in the story came from the sky. They thought the sky high above was made of water, as seperated from earthly water by God in the infamous "creation story".
Back in reality, they were looking up at a blue sky, looking at blue water, and concluded that the sky was water. And then they stole a story from an earlier mythology about a flood, featuring a character with an actual bow to set in the sky. That's why the story makes no sense and they later tried to switch bow out for rainbow in some later "translations".
If I remember all that right.
So to sum up, it's a load of fetid dingo's kidneys (thanks Douglas). Anyone who thinks this flood actually happened is several rungs below reality.

Sometimes I actually regret that in the XXI century there are still so much freakin' obsessed and outright dumb people who can't just leave The Bible, Yahweh, Jesus & CO alone and leave them for those who like to enjoy mythology and philosoply. Trying to prove Noah's Flood with science for serious is a sign of either extreme fanatism or extreme thickness.
