I don't think some forms of discrimination constitute bigotry if it's for legitimate reasons like high incompatibility - However the fact someone had sex before meeting you has nothing to do with your relationship and does not prove in anyway anything about that person's character or personality. Furthermore I feel a deep underlying mentality of slut-shaming as said by becca.
Personally I would happily date anyone who is able to question their own beliefs if they still keep it in the end. What bugs me is not so much belief in the supernatural but a refusal to see different viewpoints - As long as people can think for themselves, whatever conclusion they may reach is acceptable as long as it doesn't break the law.

Not enough nuance in the statement to definitively call Deidre a bigot.
Are you the kind of person who has long-term relationships where your values will definitely clash and mean something? I don't see that as discrimination - I wouldn't marry someone who was a social conservative. Or have a long-term relationship with them.
Are you the kind of person who just dates and fucks casually? I might say that them being a theist doesn't matter then. But that all depends on the context. I've had fun times with believers. But I wasn't looking to shack up with them either.

This is not OK. I've been with her for 3 years and I had no idea about any of this. I always had a feeling about her but I really didn't think it was like this. This is a huge shock to me and what bothers me is that I've invested 3 years of my life with someone whose values and mine most certainly do not gel.
I don't really want to break up with her, but at the same time I can't imagine staying with her and being OK with this. It's going to nag away at me, I know it. I'm a firm believer that her sexual history has a lot to do with the ability to pair bond (or should I say, the inability), and I have seen enough evidence of this with my friends and their girlfriends to confirm it.
I hate to think about it as 3 years is a long time, but I guess I probably will be finishing with her, at least that's how I'm feeling right now. But I just want to get people's opinions, for what it's worth.
