Well I looked up the definition, and it appears there are two different meanings: (Wikipedia)
Egalitarianism (from French égal, meaning "equal")—or, rarely, equalitarianism[1][2] or equalism[3]—is a trend of thought that favors equality for all people.[4] Egalitarian doctrines maintain that all humans are equal in fundamental worth or social status, according to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.[5] According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the term has two distinct definitions in modern English.[6] It is defined either as a political doctrine that all people should be treated as equals and have the same political, economic, social, and civil rights[7] or as a social philosophy advocating the removal of economic inequalities among people, economic egalitarianism, or the decentralization of power. Some sources define egalitarianism as the point of view that equality reflects the natural state of humanity.[8][9][10]
I was thinking of it in terms of the first definition, and it appears Dystopia is using the other one, maybe. I have no idea what the prevalent use is as it's not a word I've heard very much. I see it as just meaning removing prejudice as much as possible. But maybe I'm not understanding something.

The "we get egalitarianism from Christianity" is the most heinous form of Christian revisionism. If it weren't for the Internet and everything being recorded in the digital age, I imagine they'd be claiming gay rights in fifty years, too.

Gone are the days of being able to just change everything and be able to convince everyone you always said it, and gone are the days where people have to take your word for everything.

The internet only bolsters science, for those who are looking at actual science sites anyway, not apologist misinformation nonsense.
