I'm a woman.

You sadden me. I enjoy corrupting young Catholic men. It's something of a past time of mine you might say.

MODHAT on (again):
People, please trust that the staff has the tools available to detect socks, and flinging accusations around is not appropriate. If we detect a sock, it will be dealt with appropriately.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

@Randy
Can you give us your word that you do not know PiousPaladin outside this site (be that in real life or on another site) OR that he is not a sock of you? If you give me your word, I'll believe you.

I am reasonably sure that they are on opposite sides of the pond, unless one has some pretty good IP masking skillz.

Thanks. But they could still be coming from the same site, right? All of these Christians appearing at the same time, and all starting 'why be whatever' threads does seem a little bit suspicious doesn't it?

My apologies. I won't mention it again.

I have never talked to Randy Carson before on any other site. I usually frequent Fish Eaters and Suscipe Domine.

How do you rectify the aggressiveness of christianity in general (Crusades) with the claim that "The meek shall inherit the earth"?
I reject your reality and substitute my own!

Judge not lest ye be judged.

I'm not saying I'm Jesus. That is for other people to say.

Don't bogart the nachos.

The meek are those who submit and uphold the will of God above their own personal desires.

The Crusades were not aggression on the part of Christians, but a response to Christian persecution by Muslims that over time escalated.

I am not judging, I am correcting heresy as commanded in the epistles.

What of turning the other cheek?
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

God has no place within these walls, just as facts have no place within organized religion.
-- Superintendent Chalmers

Science is like a blabbermouth who ruins a movie by telling you how it ends. There are some things we don't want to know. Important things.

Once something's been approved by the government, it's no longer immoral.

One can turn the other cheek when being mistreated, when faced with sin it must be driven out.
