When I first went to Pitttsburgh, PA to live, I ordered a pizza with...well....I can't remember now...but ricotta was one of the toppings, and it's still a favorite. But it's not so common around here. But this Bronx Pizza shack looks pretty good. About a mile away. And they have it (whitestone).

I am personally no great fan of swine and pine, but when it's done well on a nice crispy thin crust, it's delicious - as is pep and pine, or salami and pine. There's something about sour/sweet juxtaposed against the saltiness of the meat. I've nothing against pan pizza, of course, but for me there's something about cracker-thin crispy crust and minimalist toppings.

Pineapple is the one food that I never grew into. I've hated it my whole life. If there's a hint of it in anything, that thing is dead to me...except pizza. Pizza, in all its wisdom, grace, and glory, is the glue that brings all food stuffs together.
Quick! Say the first thing that springs to mind...you can eat that on pizza.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

Pineapple is a big favorite of mine on a pizza, too, and nowhere else except upside down cake. But I can understand real NY establishments not liking using it.
Really good in a calzone, too. I wish PJs would do calzone for convenience.
