It changes sex in the sense that it renders the act infertile, when it otherwise would be fertile. Only on the few days that it would be otherwise fertile... For the grand majority of the month, it would just the same... from the outside.

You know that the doctors inject you with some hormones when they want to speed up a delivery, right?
Not to mention all the corticosteroids for almost anything... So... try to stay away from hospitals and those hibbie jibbies will remain happy.

(and just to clarify though, i do not believe in soul mates, neither is this any sort of church teaching. i'm also quite sure the Church's pope and other church leaders, as well as the vast majority of Catholics do not want to "legislate" any of this in the form of law lol.)
How nice of you.
Soul mate, future spouse...whatever. It doesn't change the concept I'm describing, which is the idea that you somehow owe it to some nebulous person out there to withhold consent (even from yourself, by yourself) until you've married them. It's the idea that you owe your body to someone other than yourself, and it's disgusting.
Christians absolutely attempt (and often succeed) to pass legislation restricting who people can consentually have sex with, what accoutrements they can use, in what ways they're allowed to protect themselves from disease and unwanted pregnancy, what holes they can stick it in...the list goes on.
Regardless of whether those people are specifically Catholic is beside the point (though I'd be willing to bet at least a few sexually repressive legislators are Catholic). They're still Christians, and they still believe more or less the same oppressive bullshit about sex that you do.
It isn't about "owing it" to anyone (though that can definitely be a motivating factor for some people). It's about the fact that we believe sex is sacred and so to use it outside of its sacred context isn't right. Regardless of whether you do or do not have a future spouse or plan on getting married.
Of course, this does not mean we think it should be illegal to have premarital sex. You can choose to follow it or you can choose to not. We value free will. If you don't like it and/or don't believe in it, then don't follow it. You don't have to have contempt for those of us who do. (not saying you have contempt, just saying this as a general rule.)

This is very true.
Respectfully, it still doesn't take away my point, though.

Yes. :
And that's different of course, than getting it on a regular basis for 20 or so years of female fertility. The longevity of it is what I have a problem with, from a health standpoint. It's like drinking one can of coca cola verses drinking it on a regular basis for a couple decades.
Even though I don't believe in contraception, I do wish they'd come up with better ways that were not harmful to a woman's body. Perhaps they should make you men take some pills for a change.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Yes.
But if he has a vasectomy and later regrets it, it is not immoral for him to have sex with his wife. And he does not need to reverse the surgery. Same applies for women getting their tubes tied.

Whoa, did not know about this. Thanks for the interesting info!
New info is always hard to come by, when you stuff your face in a 2000 year old book all the time!

Hey now, let's give credit where credit is due...she also reads the Catechism.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

Whaaaaaaat??!! Hell, NO!
Although, I do envy the nicer weather. (nicer, because Portugal's weather is nice, but sometimes, just sometimes, it could be better)
