To be funny there is a town called Killaboy, and another called Muff. The latter have a diving club.
I thought it might be that. So it's where my relatives lived possibly centuries (?) ago.
My sis is our historian. She's traced dad's family back 300 years in Clare. Before that they were in Galway, but records are few. It seems our family name may be very old.
Mum's family came from Galway in the late nineteenth century and went to Canada, where they made a fortune. First in timber, then in Hockey.
Addendum; there was a BBC sitcom set in Ireland, called "BALLYKISSANGEL"
"Ballykissangel is a BBC television drama created by Kieran Prendiville and set in Ireland, produced in-house by BBC Northern Ireland. The original story revolved around a young English Roman Catholic priest as he became part of a rural community. It ran for six series, which were first broadcast on BBC One in the United Kingdom from 1996 to 2001. It aired in Ireland on RTÉ One and in Australia on ABC TV from 1996 to 2001. Repeats have been shown on Drama in the United Kingdom and in the United States on some PBS affiliates."

Yeeeaaahh, if the Valk was playing, I'd be driving a tank. Doesn't need shooty-shooty stuff, just lots of armor.

Pretty sure being shot whilst wearing a vest really smarts. (according to police TV shows)
I started playing paintball in it' s infancy in the mid 1980s. Back then there were no face masks or chest armor - or any armor for that matter.
The only safety gear worn was a pair of shop goggles. I knew guys that lost front teeth from a hit to the mouth.
Also - back then paintballs would freeze - so cold weather play was not recommended.
I played many a game in nothing more than jeans, tennis shoes and a t shirt. Fortunately I have a very high tolerance for pain.
