That's wonderful Rob!  I sincerely hope you are able to go through with the operation and begin to function more normally.  Food is such an important aspect of quality of life, and low residue diets BLOW ASS.  [emoji45]  I had surgery due to a stricture in my upper small intestine in 2005 and I still remember how horrible it was to feel sick all the time and not be able to eat.  Please keep us updated, and I will remain cautiously optimistic for you going forward with surgery!  ::fingers crossed::

I, for one, am a little bit ticked that the assurance that it wasn't aimed at him specifically was tossed aside and that a reminder that the intro forum isn't the place for debate was called censorship.

I like Rocket a lot, I think he's a phenomenal guy, and he will be missed. But he was looking for an out, and I think he happened on it.

Clearly he was already at boiling point, so he either needed to take a break or discuss with us. But if this is the way he chooses to go out, so be it. I stand by the moderating.

Yes, I'm fine now.  I just have to stay away from NSAIDS.  Docs used to think it was Crohn's but not anymore.  I'm just really prone to ulcers which is what caused the stricture.  Is that similar to what has happened to you?  Yeah, elimination diets of any kind are nearly impossible to strictly adhere to for any length of time.  It's just not reasonable.
