If you're just going to dismiss whatever he says as hearsay even when he answers your question, then why bother asking it at all?

'Course, if his answer was "I do no charity work," then I bet you wouldn't be all "that's just hearsay!" would you? You'd accept the answer that confirms what you already believe in a heartbeat.
