So we circle back.  What was Jesus doing in Hell then ??

Dining on roast squab and leeks vinaigrette and washing it all down with a nice Merlot while talking 'shop' with Satan with the wails and gnashing of teeth of the damned providing a charming ambiance ??

Or was Jesus  SACRIFICING AND SUFFERING to purchase Salvation ?? 
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
