All the matter and energy that exists currently, always existed, but just in a different state, if you accept the big bang theory. I am pretty sure you just argued against yourself. If you believe in eternal matter then you don't believe in the big bang. The big bang is the event in which all time, space, and matter came into existence.
False.
Quote:The Big Bang theory is the prevailing cosmological model for the universe from the earliest known periods through its subsequent large-scale evolution.[1][2][3] It states that the universe expanded from a very high density state,[4][5] and offers a comprehensive explanation for a broad range of observed phenomena, including the abundance of light elements, the cosmic microwave background, large scale structure, and Hubble's Law.[6] If the known laws of physics are extrapolated beyond where they are valid, there is a singularity.
At this point, science does not know the state of things before the Planck epoch. It is a leap to say the Big Bang expansion is when all time, space and matter came into existence.
