I stand corrected. My intention was to point out that with respect to a cosmogony that includes the big bang, matter is not eternal.
I'll rephrase and state: "Prior to singularity there was no time, no space, and no matter. The big bang is a rapid expansion of the space and matter found within the singularity. Is that a satisfactory representation?

and that He is the one spoken of in the Bible...
