All surveys have dozens of weaknesses. Telephone surveys require one to have a telephone and not hang up. Along with that, any survey requires one to participate which leads to the survey of the personalities that would engage. Then there are those that lie, just to fuck with the pollster or perhaps afraid that 'big brother' may follow up on certain responses. How would one survey those that agree with communism or participate in KKK activities.
