I would be hard pressed pulling that grave robber trick, even if I tried. It seems kind of a requirement for new members to break the necroposting rule by at least resurecting one thread zombie.
In most cases I think it's a combination of "Rulez? TL,DR LOL" and "But that thread showed up in the 'Possibly Related Threads...'" list.
"Usually if the thread is popular and intended to be an ongoing discussion, rather than one related to a specific event, necroposting is allowed."
Is this thread not supposed to be an ongoing discussion?
I think the answer to the question, "What is beyond the edge of the universe?", is we don't know there is one. The edge, as I understand it, isn't an edge of a physical object but the outerlining of the furthest stars our instruments can detect. There simply is no light to determine where an edge or outerside might be. The universe may very well extend into infinity or loop around infinitely or whathaveyou.

In a Euclidean plane a closed universe resembles a sphere, where you always remain inside it. A flat universe is like a flat surface, reaching in every direction.
Source? As I understand, the shape of the universe is yet to be determined.
