I'm glad there is a whole lot about parenting I'm glad I don't have to deal with.
It was not much of a problem. When I first said to a true believer or two that Santa was not real, the reaction I got from the children taught me very quickly to keep my mouth shut. People [irrationally] blame the bearer of bad news for whatever bad thing it is, and so I learned that trying to teach people the truth is a thankless task for which one gets punished. They also were not apt to take my word for it, but got hostile at the mere suggestion that Santa might not be real.
As for the other parents, fuck them. They are goddamned liars who take pleasure in lying to children who are dependent upon them. They deserve to be made upset.
