Jackie Evancho isn't ready for the simple complexity that is O Holy Night, IMO. I wasn't ready for it at the age of 22 with three college years (classical voice major- coloratura soprano) of it under my belt.
She's trying so hard. It makes me exhausted.
Here's a good example of the control it requires, but the relaxation it also requires, plus she sings the difficult ornamentations that are written in the music, which a lot of singers skip because they seem unimportant, and they are pretty tough, but they're necessary decoration.
