RE: Christians - What would you do if it were discovered Jesus never existed?

I just liked hearing the kid do it; had stumbled on it while searching, and enjoyed it, even though it doesn't meet the "pure voice" that I think the song requires. Those two versions are definitely superior, each in their own way. I just think it's a magnificent piece of music- simple, haunting, beautiful.
According to my religious relatives, I'm "supposed to" hate all things religious, but there are many pieces of artwork and music that religion has inspired that are fantastic. Handel's Messiah is another example. "Contemporary worship music", ehh, not so much.
Lots of things I don't personally feel can nevertheless be amazing to listen to others sing about; my personal example would be the song "Spark", by Tori Amos, one of my other all-time-favorite pieces of music, which she wrote about her reaction to a miscarriage.

A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
