Well, that video doesn't show the extent of the fire but it's kinda hard to believe this is the only road in California leading to the same destination.

First: California is huge. If you grasp that, you will understand why "the only road in California" is a ridiculous sentiment.
Second: The video is of a wildfire in a valley which pretty much only has one road running next to it. The video shows the only way in and out.
